Whatever the hell the point of this is, shouldn't it be in the games category instead of let's talk?
i think they should actually start a hole new category for this topic alone called, "the trash can". all those in favour stand on your right leg, having first sword it off, and quote your national anthum backwards, in arabic!

of course i'm sure i'm not the only one to have spotted the really frightening fact in all of this. hasn't it struck anybody else that, out of all of the extremely important issues that are brought up on a day to day bases, weather it be issues relating to blindness and how to deal with our situations, or big religious or political questions that are raised by users who are concerned about the current state of our globe, all of peoples personal concerns that don't necessarily have to do with they're blindness, but in some other way touch their lives. out of all of these posts that go up on a daily bases, which one gets more responses than any other? that's right people, this tripe!
i'm well aware that i've been as much a part of this as any other so please don't think that i'm criticizing everybody else without pointing the finger at myself either. but it's got me interested though, why is it that we feel more comfortable responding to this than many of the really serious board topics? is it because we're scared of what people may think of us if we speak our minds on matters that count? then again could it simply be that most people on here don't care enough about the world and what's going on in it to bother offering meaningful comments, suggestions or opinions?
all that said maybe it's just me trying to think too deeply into things that i really shouldn't! lol. It would be nice to think that this, thus far utterly pointless board topic, might have some meaning though, wouldn't it?
Good points Dan. It doesn't seem that many people on the zone are capable of, or interested in, discussing serious issues. And when serious issues are brought up, the comments often lapse into insults and put downs from others. I have to admit, that kind of response has stopped me from posting comments in the past. There have also been times when I have avoided responding to a serious topic because I prefer to get into serious debates about certain things with people I know well, not with people I don't know or, frankly, care much about.
I agree with Harp and Cat Lover.
This is a pointless topic, and we need a category called the Trash Can for wasteful topics like this one.
And yes, when a serious topic comes up, it gets brought down or bombed on here.

I can't believe that I keep looking at this board. It's pointless, yet I can't help myself but to look and see what other people have written. There's something to be said for curiosity. lol
Hmm, well I'm sorry some of you people are disappointed with this topic. I apologize that I idn't post about drama, or anything "exciting". I just thought I'd post something on the lighter side for a change. No one has to read or respond, don't feel like you're obligated. As for serious issues, I do post in those topics from time to time. I don't really post much in the boards at all come to think of it.
Next time I'll be sure to postsomething more interesting, how about how many girls blindguy can get over a 24 hour period? Kidding Jared...
